1.1.10 Can the speed of a single-phase motor be controlled with a frequency inverter?

With an AC motor / single-phase motor or single-phase 230V motor, there is no possibility of speed control via a frequency inverter. In the case of a single-phase motor with an operating and starting capacitor, the starting capacitor is switched off from a certain speed via a centrifugal switch. This does not work when the speed is changed by a frequency inverter as it would destroy the motor. The use of a three-phase motor with a single-phase frequency inverter is recommended here, especially since there is a higher torque and it is also cheaper.
