For Example: 

A 400 volt three-phase motor has a current rating of 129.9 amperes and a current draw of 129.9 amperes. What is the apparent power resutling these specifications? 

S = U x I x √3
S = 400V x 129.9A x √3
S = 90kVA 

Measuring Units:

Apparent Power S = Kilovolt-Ampere [KVA]
Voltage U = Volts [V]
Current I = Ampere [A]
√3 or 1.73 = without measuring unit
