1.1.9 When is a centrifugal switch/ starting relay used with the 230V motor?

The centrifugal switch of the AC motor with two capacitors is located on the B-side of the motor and switches off the starting capacitor after amplified starting. This technique is used with 2 + 4 pole AC motors. In the case of single-phase motors with a low speed i.e., from the 6-pole variant, a starting relay takes over this function.
