Pole-reversible electric motors with separate windings

The operation of asynchronous motors with two speeds can be done by inserting two differently separated windings in the stator. By Polumschaltung each one winding and at the same time the other winding is turned off. In order that no current can be generated by induction winding in the switched-off winding, it must be opened. Motors with separate windings can also be provided for star-delta starting. A clipboard with 12 clamps is necessary. When switching over, the delta connection of the switched-off winding must be opened here.

Pole-reversible motor with different speeds

The dahlander circuit offers asynchronous machines in squirrel cage design the possibility of Polumschaltung and thus the speed changeover. Each winding strand of the machine (eg U-V-W) is designed in two winding parts (1U-2U, 1V-2V and 1W-2W). Depending on their circuit in series or parallel operation, the number of poles in the ratio 2: 1 can be switched. Accordingly, the rotating field speed changes. The most common is the triangle double star circuit. When the winding parts are connected in series, a triangular chaining of the strands takes place, while the winding parts connected in parallel are concatenated in the star.

Constant and square torque

Pole-reversible motors are drives with a constant and quadratically increasing counter-torque. The AC motors can be used for a rated voltage of z. B. 230 V, 400 V or 660 V are designed and are generally designed for direct on the Polfolge. There are also 60 Hz versions or IEC 38 special voltages possible. The pole change is achieved by:
- Two separate windings in the stand, z. B. 6-4-pin
- A winding in Dahlander circuit, z. B. 8-4 pole
- Two separate windings, including a Dahlander circuit, z. B. 8-6-4 pole
- Two separate windings, both in Dahlander circuit, z. B. 12-8-6-4-pole
