Gear Unit – Power Output Capacities

The electrically controllable helical gear motors are made of an aluminium or cast-iron housing and are available in several sizes. The combination of a helical gear unit, frequency inverter and electric motor is available with the following power output capacities: 0.18kW, 0.25kW, 0.37kW, 0.55kW, 0.75kW, 1.1kW, 1.5kW, 2.2kW, 3.0kW, 4.0kW, 5.5kW, 7.5kW, and up to 22kW.

 

SEV-EASYdrive Frequency Inverter – Assembly

The SEV-Easydrive frequency inverter is mounted with the help of an adapter plate in the area where the terminal box is located. It can optionally be mounted in 90° intervals by turning the motor. The gear motor can be installed in almost any required position. The mounting positions are designated M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, and M6.

 

Frequently Required Accessories

As the variable speed drive is often operated below 35 Hertz, the motor needs to be protected from overheating with an external forced cooling fan. Furthermore, a high degree of self-locking of the gear unit is often necessary. Since this is often too low for gear units, an electric motor with a brake is required. SEVA-tec can supply and install the external fan as well as the motor brake for the required helical gear motor.

 

The Bus-Compatible Frequency Inverter

The SEV-EASYdrive frequency inverter offers the option of becoming “bus-capable” with the help of fieldbus modules. With CANopen, EtherCAT, Modbus (already included), Profibus, Profinet, and Sercos, the EASYdrive offers compatibility with almost all common control environments. The customer can select the most relevant bus system and thus integrate the EASYdrive perfectly into the control environment of his application. The required optional control variant must be specified when ordering. The EASYdrive drive controllers are CE, UL, and CSA certified. Without external filter measures, the EASYdrive complies with EMC class C2 (with 3-phase mains supply) or C1 (with 1-phase mains supply).
