SEVA planetary geared motors are available up to 75 kW and are used today in various applications with high torque requirements and a compact design. These modular planetary gearboxes consist of a sun gear, planets, and internal gearing. To meet the demands of different operating environments, the planetary gearboxes are available in various configurations and with a wide range of accessories. Because the planetary gearboxes operate in confined spaces with high torques, their high power density results in a correspondingly high thermal load. Therefore, the thermal performance must be considered when selecting a gearbox . Planetary gearboxes are primarily used in mobile machinery and have become established in cranes, metalworking machines, construction equipment, and wind turbines.
