High-quality medium-voltage motors
These large industrial motors are available up to 40,000 kW and are operated with medium voltage. These are usually custom-made motors manufactured according to customer specifications. Their number of pole pairs ranges from 2 to 20. Protection ratings are available in the IP23, IP55 to IP65 range.

Common nominal voltages
At 50Hz in 2000V / 3000V / 3300V / 5000V / 5500V / 6000V / 6300V / 6600V / 10000V / 10500V / 11000V.
At 60Hz in 4160V / 13800V. The permissible voltage tolerance is ± 5%. Special voltages and different voltage tolerances are available upon request.

Tests
The following motor tests are optionally carried out at the factory: high-voltage test, rotation direction check, winding resistance measurement, insulation resistance test, no-load test, short-circuit test, vibration measurement, shaft voltage measurement, functional test of the accessories, noise measurement, visual inspection and documentation. Full load testing, heat run testing, shock impulse testing and loss factor measurement are also possible if required.

Motor Protection / Monitoring
High-quality medium-voltage motors can be supplied with temperature monitoring for windings and bearings, e.g., 6 × Pt100 resistance thermometers in the stator winding as well as 2 × Pt100 resistance thermometers in the A- and B-side bearings. The thermometer connection terminals are housed in a separate terminal box. Additionally, a wide range of other sensors is available upon request. Most motors are supplied with a standstill heater.
