1.1.30 What should be considered when assembling an electric motor?

Ensure even support, secure foot or flange mounting, and precise alignment for direct coupling. Avoid design-related resonances at the rotational frequency and twice the mains frequency. Rotators should be turned by hand, and any unusual grinding noises should be noted. Check the direction of rotation when uncoupled. Drive components (pulley, coupling, etc.) should only be installed or removed using suitable tools (heating required!) and covered with a protective cover. Avoid excessive belt tension. Take appropriate precautions against long-term exposure to dust, water, and sunlight (e.g., full-surface protection). If the shaft end is facing upwards, prevent water from penetrating along the shaft.
