The company was founded in 1982 by Joachim and Walter Schulz (deceased 2001) as a limited liability company (GmbH). Günther Schulz later joined as an additional managing director and shareholder. In 1991, the company headquarters were moved from Vechta to Ahlhorn. On September 3, 2004, following Günther Schulz's departure, the company name was changed from SEVA-Schulz GmbH to SEVA-tec GmbH. Since then, Joachim Schulz has been the managing director and sole shareholder of the company.
