SMARTdrive – Frequency converter

SMARTdrive frequency converters are available with power outputs of 0.37 kW, 0.55 kW, 0.75 kW, 1.1 kW, 1.5 kW, 2.2 kW, 3.0 kW, 4 kW, 5.5 kW, 7.5 kW, and 11 kW. These continuously variable frequency converters can be combined with almost all of the electric motors/geared motors in these power classes that we offer. In addition to wall mounting, the units can also be mounted directly onto the motor using suitable adapter plates.

A DSP-based high-tech motor control concept with V/Hz, sensorless vector, CLV, and PMM algorithms. Intelligent autotuning functions for easy and quick commissioning. Robust design, all-metal housing, thermally decoupled from the motor, IP55/NEMA4, vibration-resistant (4G). Flexibly configurable 4-line LCD display. Prepared for common fieldbus systems. Equipped with all standard frequency converter functions, making it suitable for universal use, including retrofit capability – integrated PID controller. EMC filter integrated as standard; optional C1 filter available with installation kit. Software tools for converter control, programming, and diagnostics. Parameter copy stick available. Compatible with globally valid standards.

Frequency converter – Structure:

SMARTdrive inverters consist of two housing halves: the base housing and the cover. The base features a mounting flange for direct attachment to the motor terminal block. The power terminals for the motor, the EMC filter, and the capacitors are housed within the base housing. The control board with removable control terminals and the power board are located in the cover. This arrangement promotes optimal heat dissipation. The removable operating panel is also located in the cover.
