Generally:

Thanks to the starting and running capacitor, the 230V motor has a stronger starting torque.

The starting capacitor is switched off by a centrifugal switch when the speed is reached.

Speed ​​control via frequency converters or similar therefore leads to interference and is not permitted.

At low loads, the temperature in the engine rises sharply and this can lead to failures.

Therefore, it is recommended not to operate single-phase motors with a load below 25% of the rated load.
