Size and power of the worm gear motor

The electrically controlled worm gear motors are manufactured from an aluminum or cast iron housing and are available in the following frame sizes: CMRV, 30, 40, 50, 63, 75, 80, 90, 100, 110, 125, 130, and 150. They consist of a combination of worm gear, frequency converter, and three-phase motor with power ratings of 0.18 kW, 0.25 kW, 0.37 kW, 0.55 kW, 0.75 kW, 1.1 kW, 1.5 kW, 2.2 kW, 3.0 kW, 4 kW, 5.5 kW, 7.5 kW, and 11 kW.

Shaft diameters and torques

The worm gearboxes are available with the following hollow shaft diameters: 14 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 28 mm, 30 mm, 35 mm, 45 mm, and 50 mm. The output torque depends, among other things, on the motor power, efficiency, and output speed. Taking these factors into account, we supply worm gearboxes with torque ranges from 10 to 2000 Nm.

Frequency converter assembly

The EASYdrive frequency converter is mounted in place of the motor terminal box using an adapter plate and can be installed in 90° increments by rotating the motor. The SEVA-tec worm gear motor can be installed in almost any required position. The installation positions are designated M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, and M6.

Frequently needed accessories

Since the adjustable drive unit is often operated below 35 Hertz, in such a case the motor must be protected from overheating with an external fan.
Furthermore, a high degree of self-locking of the gearbox unit is often necessary. Since this is often insufficient in worm gearboxes, a three-phase motor with a brake is required.
Naturally, we supply and install the external fan and the motor brake for the required worm gear motor.

The special frequency converter

The frequency converter can optionally be made "bus-compatible" using fieldbus modules. With CANopen, EtherCAT, Modbus (already included), Profibus, Profinet, and Sercos, the EASYdrive offers compatibility with almost all common control environments. Customers can select the relevant bus system and thus ideally integrate the EASYdrive into their application's control environment. The required optional control variant must be specified when ordering. The EASYdrive drive controllers are CE, UL, and CSA certified. The EASYdrive operates without external filtering measures.
