High-Quality Medium Voltage Motors 

These large-scale industrial motors are available with a power output capacity of up to 40.000kW and are operated with
medium voltage. These motors are typically custom-made to suit the customer's specific requirements. For these, the
number of pole pairs ranges between 2-20 poles. The available protection classes range from IP23, IP55 to IP65.

Motor Testing

The following optional engine tests are conducted at the factory: High voltage test, direction of rotation check,
winding resistance measurement, insulation resistance test, open circuit test, short circuit test, vibration severity
measurement, shaft voltage measurement, function control of accessories, noise measurement, visual inspection,
and documentation. Full-load tests are available if required, heating tests, shock pulse tests, and loss factor
measurement tests are also possible.

Motor Protection and Monitoring 

High-quality medium-voltage motors can be equipped with temperature monitors for the winding and bearing,
e.g., 6 x Pt100 resistance thermometers in the stator winding and 2 x Pt100 resistance thermometers in
the A and B side bearings. The connection terminals of the resistance thermometers are located in a
separate terminal box. A wide range of further sensors is also available on request.
These motors are mostly supplied with a standstill heater.
